Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley has been an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most successful. He was a part of Shottas the cult movie opposite Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his debut album, called With Father Like Son. This was followed by a number of singles, including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap fit (remix) as well as Sensimelia. They all contributed to Ky-Mani's reputation as a brand new reggae singer. Ky-Mani and Praswell from the Fugees formed a band in 1997 and recorded Avenue which was a cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley is the very first artist to play on stage at Midem in Miami which was an international festival of musical talent. The performance of Marley in the Cameo Theatre was broadcast live across 36 countries via Caribbean News Agency. Marley came to be the target of a bidding war. In 1997, she was signed to Gee Street Records/V2 Records.
