Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she received an Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney, the only child of an United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised by her four brothers and sisters. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of becoming an official reporter for the court. The first time she began modeling was at the age of 14 and later landed commercials when she moved into New York. In 1981, she appeared as a naive teen in the film All My Children. Delaney, a young actress in the 80s, has been featured in a variety of TV films and in dramas. Her personal life unlike her professional has not been a success and has not been happy. She is talented and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking prior to that. Her marriages have also failed two times. In 2005, she lost custody of her only child she was born with.
