Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and mixed martial artist competing for the UFC at the flyweight division,. She is in the midst of fighting. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimity. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, and a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as the gold medal in the year 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight back in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won by TKO after the first and was able to take home two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. The result was a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She returned with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa via unanimous decision and later defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was let go of the competition and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's superior strike skills allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. After this win, Antonina signed an UFC contract. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Kim via unanimous decision but lost her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian, but she was able to defeat Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina was lastly defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
